We offer various youth shooting opportunities for ages 8 to 18. Beginning at age 8 they can participate in Air Rifle, Indoor .22, and Archery. Once they are age 10 or above they can participate in Shotgun Shooting Sports. Through this program the youth will be given the opportunity to develop and refine their skills under the watchful eyes of our trained and safety minded volunteer coaches. They will be given the chance to participate in organized competitive shooting events if they wish to pursue competition shooting.
Indoor .22 - Ages 8 to 18
Our youth indoor .22 runs from January through mid-March and meets weekly on Monday nights to shoot benchrest style bullseye targets. Our first meeting will be our mandatory safety meeting so please plan to attend. Please check the flyer for additional information. New and returning youth must attend a 2 hour safety meeting held the first night of the season.

Air Rifle - Ages 8 to 18

Shotgun Shooting Sports - Ages 10 to 18
Our Shotgun Shooting Sports program runs from February through early August and meets twice per month on Monday evenings from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. The youth will begin by shooting going away targets to learn proper stance gun movement and swing. Once they are proficient there they will move onto the Skeet field where they will learn to shoot crossing targets and further develop their lead and follow through skills. Once they have displayed their skill and ability to they can choose to move to the Sporting Clays Course. On the sporting clays course they will learn to shoot more dynamic targets of varied sizes, speed and types. Members are encouraged to bring their own shotgun. If the member does not have access to a shotgun a loaner shotgun is available thanks to past grants from the Friends of the NRA. New members must also complete 2 two-hour safety course before participating in any shooting. Returning members must complete a two-hour safety course.
