In addition to our prolific Sporting Clay courses and Pistol ranges, Castlewood offers a number of additional shooting options to its members. This includes 5-Stand, Pyramid Wobble Trap, Skeet, Trap, and Doubles Trap. Couple that with a 500+ yard rifle range along with an archery tower and you'll be hard-pressed to find a better experience anywhere else.

​The range is open from 8:00 am to dusk each day.

Shotgun Ranges/Courses

5-Stand

We offer a 6 machine lay out with 5 different games available to test your skills.  Each game is progressively more difficult starting with Novice and going through Game 4 which will be sure to challenge all shooters no matter what your ability.

5 Stand is open every Sunday from 9 AM until 2 PM. It is operated by our SCTP shooters and the proceeded benefit youth shooting sports at Castlewood Rod & Gun Club.

Pyramid Stand

​Available during our regular operating hours is the Pyramid 5-Stand.  The Pyramid is operated with an automatic wobble trap and will be sure to challenge your skills and is a great warm-up and practice before going out on our challenging sporting clays course.

Skeet and Trap

Available during our public hours for Sporting Clays on Sundays and Tuesdays. Additionally, we have a group of senior members who shoot on Fridays from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM and the public is welcome to participate.

For members only, we offer keys for a nominal fee to the Skeet and Trap Field that may be used at any time providing it does not interfere with other Club Functions at that time.

Other Ranges

Archery

From April through November we offer a challenging outdoor walking range with 2 towers and 14 total targets.

Rifle

The rifle range extends half a kilometer allowing you to practice any conceivable shot, even at extreme distances. Target frames are placed at 30, 50, 100, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, and 550 yards. There is plenty of space available to shooters with seven benches to fire from.
